Developer Update #13 - Map Tutorial, Notes, Movement, and Time
This developer update announces map tutorial for new mappers. Additionally, maps now support new features: map notes, depicting movement, and depicting time.
Map Tutorial
As a new mapper, you will now be greeted with a Map Tutorial in your private repository. It provides a brief overview of how to get started interacting with Mapkeep maps.
Map Notes, Movement, and Time
Maps now support adding annotations in form of notes, depicting component movement, and designating present state or future state.
To create a future component, create any component and use the right-click menu to designate it being in the future epoch.
To add movement to the map, use the component right-click menu and select “new movement”. Click on another component to link the two. As with other things, you can designate the movement (via its right-click menu) to be in the future.
Movement can be depicted between linked components or between a component and a place on a map. You can also swap movement direction if needed.
To annotate the map, right-click anywhere on a map and select “new note”. Note can be adjusted as needed in placement, size, and where it is pointing to.
That’s it for now, Cheers!
